The Smiles Program
offered by Varig has almost 5 million members and involves around 80
partners. The passenger can sing up for free and accumulate mileage flying with
Varig as well as with PLUNA, Alitalia, South African
Airways and the companies of the Star Alliance.
Besides traveling,
it is possible to accumulate mileage by using the products and services of the
Smiles Program, which include credit cards, hotels, car rentals and restaurants.
The company has a Smile Service Center to inform the client about the member of
miles that each flight is worth.
The miles
accumulated by the passengers can be exchanged for trip to more than 800
destinations in 120 countries. On the Varig and Pluna flights, the
clients can ask for a superior class than the one paid for in the ticket besides
having a differential check-in and access to the Vip Rooms, among others.
