The Mosteiro
da Luz was built and founded by the monk Antonio de Sant’Anna Galvao in 1774 and is
the most important colonial monument of the 17th century in Sao Paulo.
The Concepcionistas sisters who live there dedicate their lives to pray and
work, they live in closure. The museum’s rooms intend to spread and keep one of
the most important collections of Brazilian sacrum patrimony.
