Before coming to Brazil-         

-          When you buy the air ticket don’t forget to inquire about the AIR PASS.

-         You must check if your nationality needs the visa to enter Brazil. You can obtain this information at the Consulate/ Brazilian Embassy in your country or the airline.


Climate

Most of Brazil from São Paulo to the North is blessed with a tropical climate where it is difficult to tell when Spring becomes Summer and Summer, Autumn. São Paulo’s average temperature, for example, is around 21°C (70°F) which climbs to 35°C (95°F) , the low hundreds, during the summer months that stretch from December through March. In the middle of winter, July, the temperatures in São Paulo can drop as low as 8°C (46°) during the day. North of São Paulo the weather becomes noticeably more tropical while to the south it can get quite cool, even cold, during the winter months.

The highest average temperature is 35°C (95F)° and the lowest is 8°C (46°).


Warnings

-          It is recommended to carry with you the numbers and addresses of your Consulate at your destination.

-          Don’t leave your expensive things in view like cameras, watch, etc.

-          Take care in the middle of the crowd.

-          Avoid walking alone in unfrequented and dark places.

-          Don’t carry all your money in one pocket, you’d better distribute it.

-          Never drink the water from any lake or river although it seems clean. You should always buy mineral water.

-          When you stop in some place keep your handbag close to you.

-          The medicine in Brazil is considered to be stronger than the one of your country.

-          Brazilian food is considered spicy and strong.

-          TRAVELLER CHECKs are not accepted  in all malls. Make sure to carry your credit card and reais.

-          The voltage can be different according to the city, you should check before you use it.

-          Very few people speak English. Carry a Portuguese Dictionary or Spanish Dictionary (it is similar to portuguese).

-          It is highly recommended to carry copies of your documents keeping the original at the safe box of the hotel, with your airline tickets and money.
