São Paulo - Historical Buildings - Theatro São Pedro

Theatro São Pedro

Theatro São Pedro

Inaugurated in 1917, January 16th, “Theatro São Pedro” is the second oldest Theatre of São Paulo and was constructed in neoclassical style. As time passed, the Theatre lost some architectonical characteristics and ended up abandoned, serving even as warehouse.

In 1998, it was reopened and today has capacity to receive a public of 633 guests. It has stained glasses and crystal chandeliers imported from France and also hosts “Centro de Memória da Ópera”, where there’s a collection with old figurines. It’s registered as historic patrimony.
