Museum of Brazilian House occupies “Solar dos Prado”, built to be the residence of
the family of Fábio da Silva Prado, mayor of São Paulo during the decade of 1930. It has a room for temporary exhibitions and pieces dated from
between the 17th and 20th century.
Besides furniture, the collection gathers paintings, silvery and sculptures. The
museum has a specialized library with four thousand titles about furniture, design and architecture. There’s also a book store and a restaurant.
