Ipiranga Museum |
Ipiranga Museum, also called Paulista Museum, occupies a building constructed in
1890, gathering art works, documents connected to the public administration between the 18th and 20th centuries, weapons,
clothes and domestic utilities. Other great notability of the museum are the gardens, inspired in the green area of Versailles Palace, in France.
Also visit “Casa do Grito”, built in 1884 and looking like the house pictured in
the painting “O Brado do Ipiranga”, of Pedro Américo. Inside “Capela Imperial” (Imperial Chapel), also in the gardens of the museum, the mortal
remains of Dom Pedro I and Empress Leopoldina rest.
