This
museum was inaugurated in 1978 to celebrate the 70thaniversary of the
japanese immigration in Brazil. There are around a thousand objects in
continuous exposition, among books and periodicals written by the immigrants, old
pictures, domestics utensils, reproductions of the first housings, clothes,
works of art, and a Kasato-Maru ship’s replica in which the first immigrants arrived in Brazil.
