Ibirapuera Park |
With a green area 1600000m² wide, the park is one of the most demanded attractions
at weekends by São Paulo’s residents looking for entertainment and rest. Considered the lung of São Paulo, the place surged in the 20’s on a place
that already served as seat of indian tribes and meadow, besides a "garden" for Manequinho Lopes, responsible for planting rare and
exotic trees.
About the year of 1954, architect Oscar Niemeyer started to reformulate the park,
in partnership with Oscar Burle Marx, responsible for the changes in the landscape project. As entertainment options, visitors can find a cycle
way, 13 sport courts, playground, fitness area and also hosts “Planetário”, MAM, “Pavilhão da Bienal”, “Pavilhão Japonês” and “Viveiro”.
