Originally founded in 1971, Zoo Safári has a 100000m2 area where several species
of wild animals are sheltered, which can be seen very closely by the public visiting the place. The animals go around the park freely, while
visitors follow the course inside automobiles.
After a long inactive period, “Simba Safári”, as it was formerly known, was reopened
in 2001 with the name of Zoo Safári and attached to São Paulo’s Zoo Garden, as a way to centralize the care with the animals and the animal
research centers.
