São Paulo’s Zoo Garden is considered one of the best tem zoos in the world, due to
the diversity of species that live there. About 3200 animals are sheltered in the zoo, divided among mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibious and
fishes. They’re kept in green houses and ample areas, in an attempt of reproducing their natural habitat to guarantee the better adaptation of
the animals.
It’s one of the few in the world that possess a complete collection of felines and
apes, besides species in verge of extinction like “mico-leão dourado” and “tamanduá-bandeira”. With an area of almost 900000m² covered with Mata
Atlântica, the park also provides the view of domestic animals, loose in the green area and in the lake, formed by Ipiranga Stream.
Besides the exhibition of varied species, the park offers to visitors a support
infrastructure that counts with restrooms, snack bars, library, restaurant and parking lot.
