The Memorial keeps documents and personal objects of former president Tancredo
Neves, telling the political trajectory and his importance to Brazil’s history. There’s a permanent photography exhibit. The museum also has a
collection of images of São Francisco which belonged to the politician, a known devotee of the saint.
Another highly visited place in São João Del Rei is the cemetery of São Francisco
de Assis Church, where Tancredo Neves is buried.
