La Ravardière Palace

La Ravardière Palace was built in 1689 and housed, in the beginning, Casa de Câmara and Cadeia de São Luís (São Luís Jail). It was reformed several times until getting the today’s aspect. Nowadays, La Ravardière Palace is the City Hall and, right at the entrance, there’s a statue of Daniel de La Touche, founder of São Luís.
