Salvador - Beaches - Ondina Beach

Ondina Beach

Ondina Beach

The Praia de Ondina is lined by a vast grove of coconut trees. Various hotels of the city are located in the regions that offer a good tourist infrastructure.

The Praia de Ondina is divided into three parts. The "Praia das Crianças" (Beach of the Children) has natural pools formed by the reefs. The sea is calm and the sand is fine and white. In the northern park is the "Praia da Sereia" (The Beach of the Mermaid), frequented mainly by surfists because there are no rocks in the area.

The “Praia de Cristo” (Christ’s Beach) is near the monument. It runs 100 meters with sand and a lot of rocks and stones. To reach the beach you have to follow a trail along the Morro do Cristo. The best is to walk in groups because the place is relatively deserted.
