| Salvador - Parks - Costa Azul Park |
The park was built from the ruins of the old Costa Azul Country Club, which, for
twenty years, was the target of demands and protests of residents that claimed the restoration of the space, affirming that the ruins impaired
the beauty of the place. The park is used by tourists and by residents of the Costa Azul, Pituba, Caminho das Árvores, Jardim de Alah and Avenida
Magalhães Neto districts.
Inside the park there is the “Thales de Azevedo” State School, which ministers
classes to the fundamental and high school. It has a public library with 600 copies and a mini-auditorium.
In the park there are playgrounds, soccer field, gymnastics apparatus, skate rink,
restaurants, illuminated fountain and parking lot with 150 places.
