Irena de São João Batista

The Church was build with a nave, a large chapel and a sacristy and conserve sits primitive simplicity. the 1656 building is used as a stage for various popular acts of the city.

Praça São João Batista - Quadrado

 

O Quadrado

All the houses around the São João Batista Square ( o Quadrado) are of the same period as the construction of the town. Many of them are used by local inhabitants and some have been changed into inns, bars and restaurants. The Quadrado is where everything happens in Trancoso.
