Close to this cave there were fountains responsible for the water supply of the
city until the middle of 1974. The cave has an image of “Nossa Senhora de Lourdes” and some plaques of devotees who had their wishes granted by
the saint.
To complete the mystic scenario, there’s a waterfall that protects the entrance of
the cave, with a soft waterfall 10 meters high.
Every October, the devotees make a procession in honor to the saint as a
demonstration of faith and gratefulness. It is located 10km away from Urubici’s downtown, at Santa Terezinha. |
